Talwalkars added 3,000-4,000 members in the June quarter of this fiscal, and hopes for 8 percent higher member addition in the second quarter year-on-year (YoY), according to Anant Gawande, CFO and Wholetime Director of the company. It is planning to do so by adding yoga and zumba in its fitness scheme, he added. For deeper penetration, the company plans to acquire local gyms as to enhance presence in new cities, he told CNBC-TV18. The company's key monsoon scheme will start in September and that will support Talwalkar's expansion plans, he said. Further, the company continues to focus on North, particularly Delhi, Gawande said.
